How many times do you have to see a nine year old Syrian girl, bound and shot in the face, piled among bodies, and it becomes okay?
Looking back 50 years, things weren't much different. The government was still messing everything up and we were still fighting wars. The government has always been the main focus of retaliation. They were always fighting against "the man", and frankly, I think we need to bring it back.
We see the news every day and see the articles all around us. Just because you don't follow politics or watch the news, doesn't make it any less noticeable. It's still out there. There is still needless bloodshed and we are all letting it happen!
Nobody is saying anything!
Nobody is doing anything!
~~~~"Mother, should I trust the government?"~~~~~Pink Floyd
~"I'm frightened for your children, that the life that we are living is in vain."~ The Moody Blues
That is exactly it! What should we be fighting for? What should we be fighting about? What purpose does your life have! What cause are you willing to fight about!
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."~ Gandhi
A revolution starts in you. It starts in you wanting to change.
Then it grows to us. All of us. We can have a movement again. We can change things! This generation needs help and it only takes you to start it.
"Just because flower power didn't work, doesn't mean we give up. We just find the next thing." ~ John Lennon
We are the next thing. John meant us. Are you going to let him down?
We don't have to riot. We don't have to scream. We just have to be the change that we want to see.
Please put this in your journals and pass it around.
Let's start a revolution.
